From LSU to Ole Miss to now a destination yet to be determined is the story for Corey Chest according to a report from On3.
The 6’8” sophomore will go to his third school in as many years, and last season he seemed to regress from his freshman season at LSU. He went from 6.1 points per game to 2.6 PPG and 6.6 rebounds per game to 3.8 RPG from year one to year two.
Chest started more games for LSU, but he only cracked the starting five four times at Ole Miss. His free throw shooting was one area in need
of improvement shooting less than 50 percent last season.
Chest joins Eduardo Klafke in the portal from Chris Beard’s team that posted a losing record in 2025-2026. There could very likely be a few more players to transfer out before this offseason is done. Thus far, there has yet to be a day-in and day-out player that Beard leaned on to announce intent to transfer.
