Good morning, BBN!
Players have headed to Chicago to participate in this year’s NBA Draft Combine, as many look to bolster their draft stock heading into the final surge of Draft season. For the Kentucky Wildcats, there are several players and familiar names to the BBN that are taking the court to work out for NBA scouts.
For former players Jayden Quaintance and Malachi Moreno, they both measured out and participated in drills for teams as they look to keep first-round grades heading into the interview
portion of the Draft. While JQ seems like a lottery lock at this point, Moreno does continue to trend in the late first round range. Will he return to Lexington? That is the major question.
Recruiting-wise, this Draft Combine also plays an important role. Specifically with Milan Momcilovic.
The Iowa State transfer is currently sitting at a late first round to early second-round grade. Will that be enough to pull him from the league and back into college basketball? If so, he fills the role as a major star that Mark Pope can land.
The offseason is about to kick back off with the withdrawal deadline coming. Should be a fun one to watch.
