Hansi Flick admitted he was disappointed after seeing his Barcelona team beaten 2-1 by Real Sociedad in La Liga on Sunday night.
The visitors created plenty of chances but it really wasn’t their day. Instead
La Real took all three points thanks to goals from Mikel Oyarzabal and Goncalo Guedes.
Flick felt his the result wasn’t fair on his side and also agreed with Frenkie de Jong’s post-match criticism of referee Gil Manzano.
“I’m disappointed. We played a fantastic game. We created many chances, but in the end the result doesn’t reflect what happened on the pitch,” he told the media.
“In the end, there are days when you do everything right and you have bad luck. We had situations where maybe we should have defended better, but in the end, this is football and I’m very satisfied with what we did today.
“I’m not a player and I’m not on the field. What Frenkie said is fine, I agree with him. I don’t want to waste any more time on the referee.”
Barcelona now switch focus to the Champions League and a tie with Slavia Prague on Wednesday night.
