The San Francisco 49ers will be getting their 2025 first-round pick back against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, as the Niners announced they activated defensive lineman Mykel Williams off the Physically Unable to Perform List ahead of Week 5.
Williams, who had been out since suffering a torn ACL midway through his rookie season, entered the weekend with a questionable designation, but had practiced all week. Now, he’s back and ready to play in San Francisco’s biggest game of the season so far.

addition, the 49ers elevated defensive lineman Ogbo Okoronkwo from the practice squad. The 49ers released Okoronkwo on Friday to create a roster spot that will now be filled by Williams, but re-signed him to the practice squad. They’ll have him up again for Sunday’s game.
Okoronkwo has played in all four games for the 49ers this season, starting one while recording a sack and two tackles. He has played in 39 percent of the defensive snaps so far, given the team’s injuries at the position.
Additionally, the Niners elevated tight end Jack Stoll from the practice squad. Stoll was signed to the 49ers practice squad back in mid-September. With Kyle Juszczyk out, the 49ers are bringing up another tight end to fill the void on Sunday.
Heading into the game, the 49ers are three-point underdogs. With a win, they’d improve to 5-0 on the season and 3-0 in the NFC West with a big advantage in the division.
