It’s week 3 of the NFL season and the New York Jets are on the road for the first time this season. They will be in Tampa, Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. EDT.
The Jets have opened the 2025 season with two straight losses. The first was a close loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, where the Jets offense played extremely well but the defense faltered. Last week the Jets were flat out dominated in all aspects of the game by a superior Buffalo Bills team. Now
the Jets face a 2- 0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers team on the road.
The Buccaneers opened the 2025 season with two close road victories against the Atlanta Falcons and the Houston Texans. Now they face the Jets in the Buccaneers’ home opener.
This won’t be easy for the Jets on the road in hot and humid Tampa. The Buccaneers have a tough passing attack and an excellent running back in Bucky Irving. They also play great run defense, which will be a problem for a Jets offense focused on running the ball. On the other hand, the Buccaneers’ offensive line is a mess, with multiple starters out for this game. If the Jets defense can take advantage, then maybe the Jets can sneak out of Tampa with a win.
