Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan, and Atlético Madrid have all — allegedly — expressed interest in outgoing Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka.
Now, Bayer Leverkusen could also be putting its hat into the ring for the Germany international:
Bayer Leverkusen are interested in signing Leon Goretzka on a free transfer in the summer and have inquired to the player’s management about the feasibility of the deal. Goretzka has not categorically rejected the idea but currently prefers a move abroad
to the Premier League. Leverkusen want Goretzka as a leader to fill the void Granit Xhaka left in midfield.
Bayer Leverkusen could be a very interesting destination for Goretzka and an option that would ensure the most seamless transition. However, Leverkusen is also the club most unlikely to give Goretzka the big deal that he is likely to seek for the final “big” contract of his career.
At a minimum, at least Goretzka has clubs interested in him at this stage.
It could be a lot worse.
