Here’s a bit of a Rorschach test: was the Packers’ offensive line bad last year? Why or why not?
Beyond saying “it wasn’t as good as expected,” I don’t think we can go much farther than that as far as substantive takes, because the real story of the offensive line is this: almost nobody ended up where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be there.
Of the Packers’ five preferred starters, only Rasheed Walker played and started every game at the position he was intended to play: left tackle.
Sean Rhyan was also on the field for every game, but he only started 11 games, and he split time between right guard and center.
Beyond that, the offensive line was a parade of change. Aaron Banks and Zach Tom were in and out of the lineup. Elgton Jenkins was underwhelming, then got hurt. Jordan Morgan, God bless him, made starts at four different positions. (Will someone please let Morgan, a supposed first round talent, play the position he has played consistently dating back to high school?) Even rookie Anthony Belton started at two different spots.
It was, to put it kindly, a work in progress. To put it less kindly, it was a mess. But was it bad?
Your answer to that question will depend on your point of view. If you think they just need stability and continuity, they should probably be fine waiting until Day 3 to make any moves on the offensive line. If you think this was genuinely a talent-deficient unit, they need to inject new blood as soon as possible when the draft rolls around.
Perspective matters, and the perspective you hold on a given position will determine what you do as a result. Pretty soon, we’ll find out what the Packers’ answer will be.

The natural rejoinder here is “every team gets hurt,” and that’s true, but does every team lose players of the caliber of Tucker Kraft and Micah Parsons?
