We are one quarter of the way through the 2026 NFL regular season. We’re not really, since the season has stretched to 18 weeks, but it feels like it. So a quarter of the way through the season, we want to ask a poll question about after the season.
As in the post-season. The playoffs.
Specifically, from what you are seeing so far, are the Dallas Cowboys a playoff team? We are asking you to project this team over the full season and predict where they will end up, playoffs or no playoffs.
We know the
offense can ball, and that the defense is a liability. And special teams are a mixed bag, but mostly not good.
But, the Cowboys have added Joey Porter Jr. The defense seems to be taking incremental steps forward, you can kind of glimpse the future they are shooting for. They will get Tyler Smith back, one of the best players in the league. And given the context of their opponents so far this season, their schedule isn’t as daunting as once thought.
But, that is a lot of hoping. The defense very well may stay a liability as the pass rush is anemic. Two sacks against a poor Texans offensive line doesn’t change that. And special teams look like they will let us down at various points this season no matter what.
So what’s your call, BTB? Do you think the Cowboys will make the playoffs? Below that, we also have our weekly confidence poll, so be sure to vote in both and then hit the comments.
