Ferran Torres will miss Barcelona’s final home game of the season on Sunday night against Real Betis due to injury.
The Spain star has been left out of the matchday squad by Hansi Flick, with the club providing an update on social media.
“First-team player Ferran Torres is out for today’s match due to discomfort in the biceps femoris of his left thigh. The player has undergone an MRI scan that shows a muscle overload,” read a statement.
Robert Lewandowski starts the game in attack in what will be his final home game as a Barcelona player before a summer exit. The striker is expected to address the crowd after the final whistle in his farewell match at Camp Nou.
Barcelona head into the game knowing they can make history with a victory. The Catalans are aiming for the win that will see them become the first ever side to win all 19 home games in a 38-match La Liga season.
