The A’s couldn’t escae Cleveland with a win. They dropped the finale 1-0, ending the road season on a losing note. At least the team is finally back home.
Righty Jack Perkins got the call today, looking to build onto something heading into the offseason. He managed to do just that today, holding Cleveland to just one run over his six innings of work.
That didn’t seem to be enough today though. The Guardians cashed in a run against him in the fourth but that was all that was needed. The A’s offense
didn’t show up today against Gavin Williams.
That’s it for the road series! The A’s come home to wrap the year with a final week before splitting up for the winter. It’ll be lefty Brady Basso getting the start in what is likely a bullpen game for the A’s. He’ll be opposed by Angels lefty Yusei Kikuchi.
