Over the past few days a bizarre rumor emerged out of the Middle East that both Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain had already made offers to outgoing Liverpool legend Mo Salah.
However, Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl wants to make sure that everyone knows — the Bavarians did not submit an offer to Salah (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):
Over the weekend, Egypt national team director Ibrahim Hassan claimed that ‘he has heard’ about offers from PSG and Bayern Munich for Mohamed Salah
@ismaeelmahmoudd (@winwinallsports) reached out to Max Eberl, who categorically denied this claim: “No, Mohamed Salah did not receive any offer from Bayern”
Salah is a remarkable player, but his fit (and cost) might be an issue for the Bavarians. Right now, Bayern Munich has tremendous energy and chemistry within its attacking group. From a personnel and financial standpoint, there does not seem to be a reason to break that up unless Salah is looking to take a pay cut and a role behind his old Liverpool pal, Luis Díaz.
