Athlon Bowl Projections
In this week’s version, this site has Boise State going to the LA Bowl and Utah State in the Potato Bowl. Hawaii will stay to play in the Hawaii Bowl and Fresno State will travel to the First Responder’s Bowl. They still believe in San Jose State, putting them in the Arizona Bowl, and are indifferent
about UNLV, putting them into the New Mexico Bowl.

Brett McMurphy dropped some MW news, stating that Northern Illinois is set to receive roughly $5.7 million a year ($34 million total) over the next six years when they enter the conference as a football-only team. On top of that, the Mountain West will pay their $2.5 million buyout and give them a $1.5 million signing bonus. Is this a sign the conference has a good amount of money to throw around, or is this a big offer to get NIU to join the conference?
