NFL pre-season action has begun and we want to give you an update on former Orange hoping to land roster spots this season.
Arizona Cardinals: Garrett Williams
Williams will likely miss a majority of the 2026 season after his ruptured achilles late last season.
Atlanta Falcons: Matthew Bergeron
Bergeron played only 8 snaps in the opener for Atlanta, but after landing a rich extension he isn’t battling for a spot.
Baltimore Ravens: Dion Wilson
Wilson did not record any stats against the Eagles but he could be in position to make a practice squad this year.
Buffalo Bills: Da’Metrius Weatherspoon
Weatherspoon played four snaps against Carolina as he looks to land a spot on the practice squad.
Cleveland Browns: Andre Szmyt
Szmyt hit from 50 yards in his only field goal attempt against the Bears.
Dallas Cowboys: Justin Barron and Alijah Clark
Barron made four tackles as he pushes to make the active roster following a strong camp in Dallas. Clark had one tackle against Seattle.
Detroit Lions: Jackson Meeks
Meeks caught one pass for 17 yards against the Bengals.
Green Bay Packers: Zaire Franklin and Kyle McCord
McCord went 12-16 passing for 102 yards and had 3 carries for 10 yards against the Steelers. With the release of Kyron Drones, he’s likely to stick as the 3rd QB in Green Bay this season. Franklin made his lone tackle count as it was his 1st sack with the Pack
Houston Texans- Jack Stonehouse and Jawhar Jordan
Stonehouse was waived by the Texans and we hate to say it so early but there go the chances of Houston’s 1st Super Bowl.
Jacksonville Jaguars: LeQuint Allen and Trebor Pena
Pena had 3 receptions for 58 yards, one carry for 8 yards and a punt return for 8 yards against the Saints.
LA Chargers: Oronde Gadsden, Marlowe Wax, and Devin Grant
Gadsden had 2 catches for 21 yards against the Texans while Wax and Grant both made threee tackles. Wax graded a 92.2 per PFF.
L. A. Rams: Dan Villari
Villari played snaps on special teams and offense for the Rams as he pushes to make a roster spot with his versatility.
Miami Dolphins: Isaiah Johnson
Melifonwu started at strong safety and had 5 tackles in the loss to New England. Johnson didn’t play this week.
New England Patriots: Tommy DeVito
DeVito started against the Colts and went 13-22 for 138 yards and a touchdown.
New Orleans Saints: Fadil Diggs
Diggs had five tackles and a sack against the Jaguars.
New York Jets: Andre Cisco and Kingsley Jonathan
Cisco is back with the Jets and made 1 tackle in the game against Tampa Bay.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Kevin Jobity
Jobity had one tackle against the Packers.
San Francisco 49ers: Enrique Cruz, Jr
Cruz, Jr played 33 snaps on offense against the Titans.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Riley Dixon, Iffy Melifonwu and Sean Tucker
Tucker had 4 carries for 12 yards and 2 receptions for 11 yards against the Jets. Melifonwu made 1 tackle while Dixon had 6 punts with an average of 45.3 yards per kick,
Tennessee Titans: Courtney Jackson
Jackson had 1 reception for 7 yards against the 49ers.
