With just three games remaining, the 2026 Colorado Rockies season is all but over.

Given that we have pretty much all the data on this squad, it’s time to begin the autopsy of what happened. But before we get to that, let’s take a moment to celebrate what went well — because this was an improved Rockies baseball team, despite a less-than-stellar record.

Let’s start with this question: Who was the 2026 Colorado Rockies Most Valuable player?

Was it steady-Eddy TJ Rumfield, who was solid on both sides

of the plate? Was it two-time All-Star Hunter Goodman in pursuit of 40 home runs? Was it “Look-I’m-on-base-again” Jake McCarthy, who also stole 32 bases? Was it Brennan “Everyday Bernie” Bernardino, one of MLB’s most-overlooked relievers?

Maybe you see someone as the Rockies MVP who wasn’t on top of the stats: Brett Sullivan, the Rockies answer to Shohei Ohtani; Cole Carrigg, Mr. Versatility; or Adael Amador who’s making the most of his time with the Rockies?
