Ferran Torres has been mentioned as a player Barcelona could look to sell this summer in a bid to raise funds to reinvest in the squad ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The Shark is out of contract next year and has not been offered a renewal just yet, meaning he is facing an uncertain future at the club.
Yet Torres is clear what his plans for the future are, according to Ara. The Spain star is determined to see out his contract and is prepared to leave on a free transfer if he’s not offered a renewal.
The report states that Barca see Torres as a player who could be sold in the summer, particularly if he plays a key role for Spain at World Cup 2026.
Barca haven’t offered Torres a renewal yet because they need to decide what happens with Robert Lewandowski. Simply put, only one of the two forwards can stay.
The current scenario seems to be that Lewandowski will leave when his contract expires. If that does happen then Barca will look to renew Torres’ contract to avoid him leaving on a free in 2027.
