With two British heavyweights in David Adeleye and Daniel Dubois coming off losses in their most recent fights, Adeleye tells Sky Sports that he wouldn’t mind meeting Dubois in the ring next. Adeleye dropped a unanimous decision to Filip Hgrovic a couple of weeks back while Dubois was stopped by Oleksandr Usyk for a second time in a bid to go undisputed. Adeleye, however, believes the difference between Dubois and himself is that Dubois quits on himself.
Adeleye says he’s prepared to be in another
big fight and takes confidence not only from Dubois’ questionably will, but also from his practical experience from sparring Dubois over the years, insisting it would make for a good matchup.
“I’ve shared a ring many, many times sparring with him, so he knows exactly what he’s in with when he gets in there with me,” Adeleye said. “You’d like to be a fly on the wall in our sparring sessions, but it would be very good if we were to fight each other.
With both Adeleye and Dubois aiming to bounce back and make another push back up the ranks and towards an eventual world title shot, it could prove to be a fitting matchup for both.
