Iowa State (23-15, 4-8 Big 12) is prepared to host No. 19 Oklahoma State (25-10, 7-5 Big 12) for a three-game series at the Cyclone Softball Complex beginning with a pair of games on Friday and game three scheduled for Sunday.
The Cyclones enter the weekend with momentum, carrying a two-game winning streak after a historic seven-run seventh-inning comeback to defeat No. 14 Arizona and a midweek road victory over in-state rival Iowa. This series marks the third consecutive weekend ISU will face a ranked
Big 12 opponent, as they look to improve their RPI (currently No. 59) against a Cowgirl squad ranked No. 23 in the RPI.
While Oklahoma State holds a dominant 83-30 lead in the all-time series, Iowa State has seen significant recent success, winning the last two series against the Cowgirls in 2024 and 2025. The 2024 victory in Ames was particularly historic, as it was the highest-ranked series win in program history when the Cyclones defeated then-No. 5 OSU.
Reagan Bartholomew has been the standout performer for Iowa State lately by hitting game-winning home runs in each of the team’s last two games. She currently leads the team and ranks sixth in the Big 12 with a .444 batting average while slugging .838.
In addition to Bartholomew, the Cyclones rely on senior Tatum Johnson (.367 avg, 9 HR, 39 RBI) and sophomore Jessie Clemons, who leads the Big 12 with 16 doubles. Clemons is tied for fourth most doubles in Division I.
The series features a clash of high-powered offenses; Iowa State is batting .330 as a team with 56 home runs, while Oklahoma State enters with a .370 team batting average and is currently on a four-game winning streak.
On the mound, the Cyclones are led by Lauren Schurman (13-5), who leads the conference in pitching appearances (31) and will face an OSU staff that maintains a collective 3.19 ERA.
Series Schedule:
Friday, April 10 – Doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
Saturday – NO GAME
Sunday, April 12 – Single game at noon
