German national team boss Jürgen Klopp is ready to do something that former manager Julian Nagelsmann refused to do last summer — play Bayern munich star Joshua Kimmich in the central midfield per Sport Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):

In addition, Nagelsmann was criticized for playing Kimmich at right-back at the World Cup and had — allegedly — saw the error of his ways. Unfortunately for the former Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig boss, it was too late as Germany was eliminated before Nagelsmann could make the switch:
It is also said that Julian Nagelsmann had given Kimmich the prospect of returning to his preferred midfield position from a potential Round of 16 clash against France at the 2026 World Cup. However, that never materialized due to the early exit to Paraguay.
