The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks are just over a week away from the start of their 2026 offseason program, with the 2026 NFL Draft looming in the background now less than two weeks away.
John Schneider and Mike Macdonald currently hold just four picks in the upcoming draft, but with 20 of the 22 starters from the 29-13 dismantling of the Patriots under contract for the 2026 season, expectations are sure to be lofty for the squad.
The two starters from the Super Bowl who are now with
other teams are safety Coby Bryant and running back Kenneth Walker, and according to a report from Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 in Houston, one of the potential replacements for Walker could be All-American running back Emmett Johnson of Nebraska.
As a Junior in 2025 Johnson rushed for 1,451 yards and 12 touchdowns, while bringing home significant hardware, including:
- First-team All American,
- First-team All Big Ten and
- Big Ten Running Back of the Year.
Following the conclusion of the regular season, Johnson declared for the NFL draft in December and opted out of the Las Vegas Bowl.
And just for those who are curious about Johnson’s athleticism, here is his RAS card.
Johnson is currently at 107 on the NFL Mock Draft Database Consensus Big Board, so is likely to be a late Day 2 or early Day 3 pick.
