The Cincinnati Reds are in Pittsburgh on Friday night to take on the Pirates in the first of three games they’ll play over the weekend against their NL Central rivals.
Starting tonight for Cincinnati will be Brady Singer, who has turned in a trio of solid outings after blister issues late in spring camp and a bit of a stumble out of the gate in 2026. Over his last three starts he has allowed just 6 ER in 17.1 IP, and looks to have regained his full command and arsenal after the blisters.
Pittsburgh,
meanwhile, will roll out veteran righty Mitch Keller, who the Reds have seen plenty of over the years. The 424 PA against Keller by the Reds is the most by any team, and no team has hit more doubles (27) or stolen more bases (13) off Keller in the sport. Cincinnnati has also clubbed 11 homers off him – second only to the dozen hit off him by the St. Louis Cardinals – and owns an .829 OPS against him overall in 19 starts.
First pitch is set for 6:45 PM ET, and this one is on Apple TV, unfortunately.
Lineups for both clubs are listed below. No real surprises on Cincinnati’s side as former Pirate Ke’Bryan Hayes is back in the 9-hole playing 3B against his former club. JJ Bleday gets the start in the RF rotation.
Go Reds!
