The Chargers practiced for the first time in Week Nine and it came with an injury report that’s a bit longer than most would like during a mini bye. Even with an extended rest between their last game and this
first practice, there are still 11 players who carried an injury designation on Wednesday.
Five players were non-participants with right guard Mekhi Becton the most notable name who sat out with a knee injury. Tight end Will Dissly (illness), running back Hassan Haskins (hamstring), safety Tony Jefferson (hamstring), and cornerback Tarheeb Still (knee) were the other DNPs on the day.
The other seven players on the report were all limited participants. They were headlined by team captain and safety Derwin James who is dealing with an ankle injury that kept him out for most of last Thursday’s win. The other limited participants in practice were offensive tackle Austin Deculus (ankle), cornerback Deane Leonard (knee), wideout Ladd McConkey (calf), offensive guard Jamaree Salyer (knee), and safety Kendall Williamson (achilles).
