It’s hardly uncommon for NFL teams — the Eagles included — to create cap space for flexibility purposes … and not necessarily because they immediately make a big move with the newly freed up funds. As a reminder, any cap space that the Eagles free up in the short-term will be rolled over into the future if it goes unused.
