Skye Nicolson retained her WBC interim super bantamweight title and took another step closer to a fight against Ellie Scotney with a dominant decision win today in Flemington, Victoria, Australia.
Nicolson (16-1, 3 KO) beat Mariah Turner on scores of 100-89 from all three judges. Turner was penalized a point in the 10th and final round for use of her head. It’s a fourth straight win for Nicolson following her featherweight title loss to Tiara Brown in March 2025.
On the undercard, heavyweight prospect
Teremoana Teremoana scored another first round knockout against another hapless opponent, finishing BoxRec’s 394th-ranked Bowie Tupou in the opening round to improve to 11-0 (11 KO), with the 28-year-old winning in one for the eighth straight fight.
Also on the card, Jake Wyllie stopped Miles Zalewski in the second round, and Benjamin Hussain won a 10-round split decision over Andrew Hunt in the night’s one evenly-matched fight of note. Chloe Chaos went to a six-round draw with sub-.500 Arlene Blencowe, as well.
The show did a reported sellout at the Melbourne Pavilion.
