Jude Bellingham’s return is edging closer. The club’s official social media channels released a video showing the English midfielder looking sharp on the Valdebebas pitches:
While the 22-year-old’s official return date remains uncertain, it appears unlikely that Xabi Alonso will risk him for Saturday’s clash against Real Sociedad at Anoeta (4:15 p.m. CET).
Still, his comeback now feels like a matter of when, not if.
Real Madrid, currently sitting atop La Liga, completed their second training session of the week at Real Madrid City as preparations for the trip to San Sebastián continued. The session began with a workout in the gym before players moved to the pitch for pressing combinations, defensive and offensive drills, and precision passing exercises. Training wrapped up with a series of small-sided five-a-side games.
Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga both took part in segments of the session before moving to individual work in the gym, while goalkeeper Andriy Lunin trained fully with the group. Meanwhile, Ferland Mendy and Endrick completed their own tailored programs apart from the squad.
Bellingham’s steady reintegration is a major boost for Alonso, who will welcome the midfielder’s energy and dynamism back into the squad as the season enters a big stretch where the calendar gets challenging.
