As the NFL prepares to kick off its 2026 free agency period, now is a good time to take a look at the Detroit Lions roster with an updated depth chart. This version of the Lions depth chart lists/ranks all players, and highlights the team’s current projected starters (in bold), giving fans a perspective on areas they may hope the team upgrades.
The Lions have a few more moving parts heading into this free agency period, as opposed to years past. For example, while we know David Montgomery will be
traded for Juice Scruggs (and draft picks), that move technically won’t happen until the start of free agency on Wednesday, March 11, at 4 p.m., but it is reflected on this depth chart. Additionally, while Taylor Decker has asked for his release, the Lions have not yet granted him that request, so he remains on the roster for now.
