
Syracuse softball began back in 2000 and in that time, the Orange have had several outstanding players who haven’t let the long winters stop them from success on the diamond. Let’s get to our selections for the All-21st Century line-up:
P: Jenna Caira- 35 wins and 10 shutouts en route to winning Big East Pitcher of the Year in 2011. Career leader in ERA (1.87), wins (97), complete games ( 82) shutouts (28), and strikeouts. 2011. Helped the Orange to three straight NCAA appearances. Two-time Canadian
Olympian

C: Amy Kelley- ranks in the top 10 all-time in home runs (9th-24), slugging percentage (6th-.530), putouts (3rd-819) and runners caught stealing (2nd-32)
1B: Neli Casares-Maher- all-time leader in slugging percentage with a .622 mark. Ranks in the top 10 all-time in runs scored (3rd-132), doubles (2nd-50), triples (6th-9), extra base hits (2nd-79).
2B: Stephanie Watts- career leader in total bases (344), walks (115) and runs scored (182). Ranks in the top 10 all-time in games played (2nd-222), at-bats (2nd-666), triples (2nd-12), hits (4th-193), extra base hits (3rd-75), stolen bases (4th-67), home runs (4th-32) and RBI (6th-117).
SS: Alexis Switenko- 2006 Big East POY. Ranks in the top 10 all-time in home runs (2nd-38), RBI (2nd-132), slugging percentage (4th-.570) and hits (4th- 193). 2nd team All-American.
3B:Hallie Gibbs- set a school record 16 homers and 65 RBI in 2011. All-time leader with 174 RBI and 3rd in home runs (35). Also ranks in the top 10 all-time in extra base hits (3rd-75),
OF: Lisaira Daniels- all-time leader in batting average (.351). Ranks in the top 10 all-time in stolen bases (2nd-71), hits (4th-193), triples (4th-11), runs scored (6th-124), slugging percentage (7th- .529) and total bases (9th-291).
OF: Sydney O’Hara- school record batting average (.417 in 2017) and walks (46) in a season. Had a 4 HR game vs NC State. Also recorded 12 career saves. 3rd team AA. Ranks in the top 10 all-time in batting average (2nd-.348), RBI (4th-127), doubles (10th-30), home runs (7th-28), extra-base hits (9th-66), total bases (6th-307) and slugging percentage (3rd-.579).
OF: Angel Jasso- ranks in the top 10 all-time in batting average (8th- .327), doubles (5th-39), triples (1st-13), RBI (8th-100), extra base hits (10th-63) and total bases (9th-291).
DH: Corinne Ozanne- career leader in home runs with 47 dingers. Ranks in the top 10 all-time in RBI (2nd-132), extra base hits (6th-71), total bases (3rd-336) and slugging percentage (2nd- .598).
