Éder Militão spoke to Real Madrid TV on the program Real Talks, offering insight into his mindset as he continues working his way back and striving to reach peak form again.
The Brazilian defender emphasized his commitment every time he steps onto the pitch, and his desire to return as soon as possible.
“Whenever I’m on the pitch, I give my all. I’m really looking forward to playing again.”
Militão also admitted that setbacks and difficult moments weigh heavily on him, particularly because of his competitive
nature.
“It weighs heavily on me, because I don’t like to lose, I don’t like being there feeling sad.
“If something doesn’t go 100%, I keep working on it so that I don’t make the same mistake in the next match.”
Speaking about the responsibility that comes with representing Real Madrid, Militão highlighted the pride and expectations tied to wearing the club’s shirt.
“We know the weight of the Real Madrid shirt and we know it’s an honor to play here.
“You have to take care of yourself off the field, you always have to be at your peak, even if you’re not playing or you’re coming back from an injury.”
Militão also pointed to specific areas of his game he continues to refine, showing his focus on becoming a more complete defender.
“I’m always trying to improve, in terms of duels, ball recovery, set pieces, both defensively and offensively.”
Looking ahead, he briefly addressed Real Madrid’s upcoming challenge against Mallorca, warning of their intensity and persistence.
“Mallorca press hard, they always play until the very end, we have to be constantly alert.”
