Alaves are reportedly keen on signing Barcelona winger Toni Fernandez on loan for the 2025-26 season.
The 17-year-old has been tipped to move away from the club next season in a bid to continue his development and gain some first-team experience.
Fernandez is one of La Masia’s brightest talents but the feeling within the club is that he’s outgrown Barcelona Atletic and needs a different challenge next season.
Real Oviedo have been linked with a move for Fernandez and Alaves are also keen, according
to ABC reporter Angel Garcia.
Alaves will play in La Liga next season after escaping relegation in 2025-26 and are reportedly looking out for exciting, young talent to bring into the team.
Fernandez would certainly fit the bill in that regard, although a final decision on whether he will stay at Barcelona or go out on loan is yet to be made.
The teenager is expected to be part of Hansi Flick’s pre-season squad, meaning he should get a chance to try and impress the boss before the new campaign gets underway.
