The NFL will not place anymore players on the commissioner’s exempt list on Sunday, after news broke that running back Josh Jacobs would be ruled ineligible to play indefinitely. However, that does not mean that L.A. Rams players Puka Nacua and Alaric Jackson are safe from suspension, as Adam Schefter reported on Sunday that both are still “under league’s review” for the time being.
That means that either Nacua or Jackson, or both, could still be suspended to start the season.
This would be Jackson’s second time for being suspended under the personal conduct policy, if he is suspended. Nacua had a series of off-field distractions, including accusations of allegedly biting a woman that is headed to civil court. Losing either player would be a huge blow to L.A.‘s chances of beating the 49ers, or anyone else, but it does not sound like the Rams will know their fate for sure prior to final cuts.
