The Wisconsin Badgers have been heavily involved with several of the top in-state prospects in the 2027 class. Among them is top-40 senior Donovan Davis, who is considered a high four-star recruit in the class.
Davis, a 6’7, 200-pound forward from Kaukana, Wisconsin, has steadily risen in the 2027 class, and the Badgers have fought hard to be in the mix. They were named in Davis’s top 5 last week, alongside Iowa State, Iowa, Nebraska, and Marquette.
Currently, Wisconsin doesn’t have a commitment in the
Class of 2027. Davis is set to announce his decision on Wednesday.
Davis is currently considered the No. 7 power forward in the country and the No. 2 player in the state of Wisconsin behind only Dooney Johnson, a five-star guard who committed to the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Davis had taken official visits to all five of his contenders last month. He started with Wisconsin on April 13th, went to Iowa on April 15th, Marquette on April 17th, Nebraska on April 20th, and capped off with Iowa State on April 29th before announcing a decision date on May 6th.
Wisconsin is also involved with four-star guard Jalen Brown, three-star forward Jack Kohnen, three-star forward Kager Knueppel, three-star guard Deuce McDuffie, among other recruits in the Class of 2027.
But Davis would surely be a huge get for the Badgers as a cornerstone piece for the Badgers in the upcoming recruiting class.
