As was anticipated, former Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and FC Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho has made the move to Santos FC.
The move brings an intriguing reunion with Neymar, Coutinho’s longtime friend and Brazil teammate, as the two will finally share a club dressing room after years of playing together for the national team.
The 34-year-old had been without a club since leaving Vasco da Gama in February. His departure followed a difficult period that Coutinho said took a toll on his mental health,
and he has not played an official match since February 14th. Coutinho has continued training individually, however, and Santos is hoping he can quickly regain his rhythm:

For Bayern Munich fans, Coutinho remains a memorable figure despite his brief spell in Germany. He spent the 2019/20 season on loan from FC Barcelona, helping Bayern Munich win the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and Champions League treble.
Now, Coutinho gets another opportunity to revive his career alongside Neymar. Santos clearly believes his technical ability and experience can make a difference during the final months of the Brazilian season.
