The first half of the New York Jets game against the Baltimore Ravens is in the books, and the Jets are leading the Ravens, 7 – 3.
The game opened with neither team able to get anything going on offense
on their first two drives.
A scoreless first quarter ended with the Jets driving near midfield. The Jets drive bogged down and they were forced to punt. The Ravens followed suit with a drive to nowhere and a punt as the game evolved into a defensive struggle.
Midway through the second quarter the Jets got the ball near their own 20 yard line and began a methodical drive, moving the chains and chewing up the clock. Eventually Tyrod Taylor found John Metchie in the end zone and the Jets took a 7 – 0 lead late in the second quarter.
The Ravens answered with a drive for a field goal, making the score 7 – 3, Jets, with a little over 1:30 left in the first half. The Jets got themselves in scoring position on their next drive before Tyrod Taylor took a costly sack, ending their drive.
