The Cleveland Browns will make a decision on who their starting quarterback will be for Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season this week and next week will unveil their initial 53-man roster. Recently, we took a look at a 53-man roster projection based solely on preseason, as well as what the Browns offensive depth chart could look like with the likely additions of RB Quinshon Judkins and WR Isaiah Bond.
With two preseason games in the books and this week being treated like a trial run for Week 1 of the season,
who has locked up roster spots already? To be clear, a few of the players on this list could be traded, but would make the roster if they are not moved.
For quite a few of the players listed, no explanation is needed:
Offense – 20
- QB Joe Flacco
- LT Dawand Jones
- LG Joel Bitonio
- C Ethan Pocic
- RG Wyatt Teller
- RT Jack Conklin
- TE David Njoku
- TE Harold Fannin Jr.
- WR Jerry Jeudy
- WR Cedric Tillman
- WR Jamari Thrash
- WR DeAndre Carter – The pure returner, Cleveland hasn’t played him so far in preseason, so cutting him without giving him a chance to prove himself doesn’t make sense
- WR Isaiah Bond – Reportedly signed Monday morning, the Browns aren’t giving him guaranteed money and signing bonus only to put him on waivers for just anyone to claim
- RB Quinshon Judkins – Once signed
- RB Dylan Sampson
- RB Jerome Ford – Mostly due to the contract adjustment signed this offseason
- QB Shedeur Sanders
- QB Dillon Gabriel
- OL Zak Zinter
- C Luke Wypler
Defense – 13
- DE Myles Garrett
- DT Mason Graham
- DT Maliek Collins
- DT Mike Hall Jr. – May have to start on PUP/IR?
- DE Isaiah McGuire
- DE Alex Wright
- LB Carson Schwesinger
- LB Devin Bush
- LB Mohamoud Diabate
- CB Denzel Ward
- CB Greg Newsome II
- S Grant Delpit
- S Ronnie Hickman
Specialist – 3
- K Dustin Hopkins – Contract details crucial
- P Corey Bojorquez
- LS Rex Sunahara
36 of 53 “locked in” according to this prediction, but it is possible we missed someone or have someone on the list that you fully disagree with.
