According to Mike Klis of 9NMews, the Denver Broncos have waived cornerback Quinton Newsome. The undrafted rookie from Nebraska signed with the Broncos in 2024 and spent the entire season on their practice squad before signing a reserve/futures contract after the season.
Newsome signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2024 out of the University of Nebraska, where he started over multiple seasons, posting 44 tackles, 10 pass deflections,
a forced fumble, and a recovery in 2022, followed by All-Big Ten honors in 2023 with 37 tackles and three passes defensed in 11 games.
He is likely a guy that Broncos will target for their practice squad once he clears waivers. He spent all of last season on the team and is well-versed with the Vance Joseph offense by now.
