The Los Angeles Rams have had problems on their specials teams for years, and fans are blaming Sean McVay as the reason. Nearly 57% of fans surveyed are putting the heat on McVay for the special teams woes. According to the data below McVay is taking more of the blame than Bubba Ventrone, and more blame than Harrison Mevis.
The Rams are one of if not the worst special teams units across the board. The unit most recently cost them on Monday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills with a poor opening
kickoff leading to three points for Buffalo. Later, a missed Harrison Mevis kick and finally a blocked kick to basically end the game in Buffalo’s favor.
McVay’s done plenty right, but if you ask the fans, they are burned-out on McVay getting the special teams so wrong.
When it comes to betting at FanDuel, if the Rams are favored by 3 points or less, maybe bet on the other team. The Rams can’t guarantee three points to win a game, cover the spread or save their season.
Are the Rams the best tw0-win team in the NFL?
65% of fans surveyed seem to think L.A. is the strongest 2-win team with the most potential. The data says expect the Rams to end the season with the best record out of all the other two-win teams across the league.
Whereas, the Rams may be the best two-win team in the league, L.A. had much bigger dreams than being the strongest two-win franchise five weeks into their season.
The Rams want to make the playoffs; they want to win the Super Bowl.
The Rams still can do this, but they are falling well behind the San Francisco 49ers. Whereas you may want to check FanDuel and bet on the Rams winning more games than not, you also may want to avoid placing any bets on L.A. winning the whole thing, for now.
Are you confident the Rams are headed in the right direction?
The football season be like a pendulum with big swings back and forth. Last week ,after a win, fan confidence was above 70%, This week, after a loss, fan confidence sits at 33%.
The Rams are favored to beat the Arizona Cardinals this week, but imagine if L.A. drops this game? Where will fan confidence be then?
It’s been an uphill battle for the team that was expected to be the best in the NFL in 2026. The Rams haven’t looked like the best team in the NFL, their own conference, or their division.
They look like a team that’s 2-3. They also look like a team that could be 4-1, or 3-2, but their 2-3.
Might be no better time to bet the over on wins for L.A. at FanDuel. May have been the right time to bet the under from the start, or to bet the under again.
Bet responsibly.
