It’s that time of year again where MLB announces the players joining the Arizona Fall League this…Fall. Phillies sent nine players last year with Otto Kemp the only one seeing MLB time in 2025. Who will we be keeping an eye on this year?
Aidan Miller, SS, 21 years old
It seems the Phillies want to keep riding Miller’s hot streak to close out the season with a promotion to AAA and an AFL roster spot this week. Since August 1, Miller is slashing .355/.489/.618 with 5 HR and 18 SB in 141 PA. On the season he has
13 HR and 55 SB…so not too shabby. Is this a final test before the Phillies make a decision on Bohm/Stott in the offseason? Time will tell for the 2023 1st round pick.
Dante Nori, CF, 20 years old
The 2024 1st Round Pick earned a promotion to High-A in August after having done quite well with Clearwater. He’s provided great defense and has been a menace on the basepaths with 51 stolen bases in 60 attempts this season. Nori has been patient at the plate (83:74 K/BB in 561 PA), but hasn’t developed much power (.373 SLG). You hope to see him continue to build strength to get into “okay maybe he can hit doubles” consistently territory with the bat.
Carson DeMartini, 3B, 22 years old
My hitting breakout pick for 2025 has had his ups and downs. DeMartini was having a great season at Jersey Shore, slashing a .284/.402/.474 with 8 HR and 18 SB in 229 PA. From there he earned a promotion to Reading where he struggled quite a bit. He ended the season on the IL (perhaps this hampered him a bit), but must not be serious enough that he won’t be ready to play once the season starts.
Eiberson Castellano, RHP, 24 years old
Castellano’s journey in 2025 has been something. Selected in the Rule 5 draft by the Twins, but was returned back following Spring Training. He was a 2024 Paul Owens Award winner and the outlook was looking fairly well for him as a back of the rotation starter. He started the season, but was shut down after 4 appearances in April. He was reactivated for two starts in late-May, but then was shut down again until late-July where Castellano returned as a reliever. The results were not good and I’m not sure the outlook is looking all that well anymore. I also haven’t seen if they still view him as a starter or not…which feels important as the Phillies organization is desperate for quality SP prospects.
Jack Dallas, RHP, 26 years old
Dallas was an UDFA back in 2022 and has used strictly as a reliever (he was just a reliever in college as well). The 2025 results were middling as a reliever in the minors, to which he did not move above AA (where he finished 2024). If you squint hard enough you may see a junk-inning MLB reliever, but Dallas is likely just a body. Plus, can this town have two athletes named Dallas? Probably not.
Jaydenn Estanista, RHP, 23 years old
An international signing out of Curacao that has been with the organization since 2021 and has been used strictly as a reliever since his debut. Estanista has shown the ability to both strike a lot of dudes out AND dish on the free passes. 2025 saw his free passes go up and strikeouts go down. Not a particularly good combination. Estanista ended the year in Reading where he gave up 15 earned runs on 16 hits and 16 walks in 19.1 innings.
Daniel Harper, RHP, 26 years old
After an interesting 2024 (13.2 K/9 in High-A), there was some optimism that there might be some MLB potential with Harper. The 2022 17th Round Pick spent much of the season on the IL, only 10 games this season with 11.2 IP. This is likely to give him some more innings, but he remains my “favorite” of the relievers the Phillies are sending.
Tommy McCollum, RHP, 26 years old
Once a very interesting relief prospect, his career has been hampered by injuries, including Tommy John surgery in 2022 where he hasn’t been quite the same since returning. McCollum had a good season with Reading where he was able to get in 44 innings of 37 H, 16 ER, 11 BB ball with 47 strikeouts. This could very well be a “last chance” for McCollum.
