Kaue Fernandes made it look easy, and quite painful at UFC Paris.
Fernandes faced former Cage Warriors champ Harry Hardwick at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night event at Accor Arena. Fernandes began landing calf kicks that immediately took Hardwick out of the fight. Despite being overmatched, Hardwick tried to battle through it, and Fernandes started to admire his work a little bit to keep Hardwick in the fight. Eventually, one-too-many kicks landed, and Hardwick was unable to continue — leading to referee
Herb Dean thankfully calling a stop to the fight.
Prior to Bruce Buffer reading the official decision, Hardwick could be shown getting wheeled out of the octagon, and received a round of applause from the Paris crowd for leaving it all on the octagon. Fernandes was showered with boos by the crowd before saying he had the best leg kicks in the entire lightweight division.
Of course, fellow UFC and MMA fighters were watching the event. Check out some of their reactions below.
