BVB have cemented themselves right where the entire organization aims to find themselves come the end of the season—second place. Truly an elite achievement in the Bundesliga where a club like Bayern Munich has money and is therefore infallible.
Congrats to all of us.
It’s reasonable to say that BVB were never beating this Bayern team to anything, but alas, another year gone.

- Julian Brandt, Niklas Süle, and Salih Özcan all played their final home matches for the club on Friday, as especially Brandt received a grand ovation from the fans.
- Real Madrid are consider Karim Adeyemi as an option at wing, as they expect multiple summer departures.
League News
- Freiburg kept the race for the final European spot alive, tasting defeat away to Hamburg. Frankfurt will have one final chance to steal away the Conference League spot.
- It’s 26 points across the board for Wolfsburg, Heidenheim, and St. Pauli. They’re fighting for 16th and the chance to defend their place in the league. Which teams are getting the drop?
- Marie-Louis Eta, the Bundesliga’s first female coach, picked up her first win this weekend. Hell yeah.
This really feels like a season of what-could-have-beens. It’s 33 matches in the book for BVB, and a match of pride next
weekend. Still, it will be a quiet summer without BVB (and nothing else football-related happening, of course).
