Manchester United are reportedly “relaxed” about Marcus Rashford’s situation ahead of the summer transfer window and believe Barcelona won’t be the only club interested in his services this summer.
Rashford is currently on a season-long loan at Barcelona but it’s unclear if he will stay. The Catalans do have a buy option but it’s been reportedly recently they may try to negotiate another loan instead.
According to ESPN, the Red Devils “are confident they would be able to find other suitors” if Barcelona
decide not to pay the €30 million purchase option in Rashford’s contract. The report adds that United have already received “enquiries from a number of clubs in England” about the forward’s situation.
United don’t really seem interested in another loan deal, with the report adding “bosses are adamant that they will not enter fresh talks and are willing to let Rashford return to the club in the summer” if Barca don’t sign him permanently.
The thinking at Old Trafford is that Manchester United could get a higher fee than €30m this summer as Rashford has impressed during his time in La Liga with Hansi Flick’s side.
Rashford has said publicly that he wants to stay at Barcelona but the report adds he “hasn’t ruled out” returning to Manchester and claims he would be allowed to return to the first-team squad.
