The World Series moved to Los Angeles for Game 3 last night. After the Jays took the lead in the top of the seventh, Shohei Ohtani tied it up in the bottom of the inning with his second homer of the night. It
was a back-and-forth game that went to extra innings and continued until an 18th inning solo homer by the Dodgers’ Freddy Freeman. LA now leads the series 2 games to 1 after the longest game in World Series history; 6-hours and 39 minutes.
A’s Beat Writer Martin Gallegos @MartinJGallegos posted on ‘X’ this evening that he ran into Lawrence Butler at the game tonight. According to Gallegos, Butler was “moving around well and feeling good post-knee surgery. He said he’ll be fully ready for Spring Training. This is great news for the both Law-Dog and the team. But Butler wasn’t just hanging out in LA. He was on an assignment. Major League Baseball announced that Athletics outfielder Lawrence Butler, Rays third baseman Junior Caminero and Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino will serve as World Series Player Correspondents during the 2025 World Series presented by Capital One. Pasquantino served in the role for Games 1 & 2. Butler attended Games 3 and will attend Game 4 in Los Angeles, providing player-first coverage and creating content across the suite of @MLB social media channels.
