As we have seen in recent years, the portal giveth, and the portal taketh away.
So far this year, we’ve seen Darren Harris and Nik Khamenia enter the portal, and we’ve started to see Duke being discussed with guys looking for new schools as well.
The most intriguing of these is probably Flory Bidunga of Kansas. At 6-9, Bidunga is insanely athletic, and he would fit Jon Scheyer’s scheme brilliantly.
Kansas State guard Abdi Bashir is also on Duke’s radar, as is Wisconsin’s John Blackwell.
Roster-building
season is part of the strange new world that college basketball lives in now, but there are many twists and turns before we get to what Duke will have next season. The good news is that Jon Scheyer has proven to be a man for this new era, and he’ll do as well as anyone in the portal.
