Michael Olise is making it increasingly difficult to ignore just how high his ceiling is.
The Bayern Munich star produced a sensational cameo for France against Belgium, completely changing the game after coming off the bench. With France trailing 1-0, Olise entered the match and immediately brought another level of creativity, directness, and quality to the attack.
He finished the night with two goals and an assist, helping France turn the match around to secure a remarkable 4-1 victory. His first
major contribution came when he brilliantly beat Joaquín Seys before cutting the ball back for Rayan Cherki to put France ahead.
Olise then put the game out of reach for Belgium with another goal, capping a ridiculous 10-minute stretch in which he essentially took over the match.
This was not simply a case of padding statistics, either. Olise consistently looked dangerous whenever he received the ball—attacking defenders, creating opportunities, and giving France an entirely different dynamic on the right side
For Bayern Munich supporters, this performance should be particularly exciting. Olise is already producing at an elite level for his club, but performances like this suggest he is beginning to establish himself as a genuine difference-maker on the international stage, too.
Zinedine Zidane needed a spark, and Olise provided it — by way of two goals, an assist, and a match completely turned on its head.
Michael Olise is becoming must-watch football.
