Happy Friday! MSU has some awesome games going on this weekend. But first, I need to bring up some non-MSU related sports news that has me feeling excited. Earlier today was the draw for the 2026 World
Cup and the USA got, in my opinion, a very favorable group. The other teams in our group are Australia and Paraguay (neither of whom are considered contenders), and then a team to be determined amongst Turkey, Slovakia, Kosovo, and Romania (those four teams will participate in a playoff in March to determine who gets in). So yeah, that was good news for our prospects at next summer’s tournament.
Okay, back to MSU. Football is over (mercifully) and women’s soccer was eliminated last weekend (sadly), so these schedules are going to be more concise. Going to try another format again and arrange it by sport.
