UFC Paris went down yesterday (Sat., Sept. 5, 2026) inside Accor Arena in Paris, France, which saw Salahdine Parnasse debut with an impressive knockout win over Dan Hooker in the first round (see it here). In the co-main event, Axel Sola stopped Fares Ziam with a devastating left hook (highlights), while Losen Keita also secured a monstrous first-round stoppage winover Nursulton Ruziboev.

Who He Should Face Next: Rafael Fiziev
I can’t remember seeing such an impressive and
explosive UFC debut in a headlining bout, as Parnasse brought it to and destroyed Hooker in under one round. While a great first impression, the fights will only get tougher from here. That win should be good enough to get him into the Top 15, but a fight against Max Holloway may not be next, even though that is what he called for post-fight. Perhaps a bout against Fiziev makes more sense. Fiziev is one of the best strikers at 155 pounds and is currently ranked No. 13 at the moment and is fresh off a knockout win of his own over Manuel Torres. These two men are all about fireworks, so putting them together inside the cage will produce some of the best we’ve seen.

Who He Should Face Next: Carlos Diego Ferreira
Sola was another one of our big winners last night after obliterating Fares Ziam in the very first round, improving to 3-1 inside the Octagon. A fight against Ferreira could also produce fireworks, as the Brazilian bomber has five knockouts inside the Octagon. He was most recently seen defeating Billy Quarantillo last month via unanaimosu decision, snapping his two-fight skid.
Winner: Daniil Donchenko
Who He Should Face Next: Sam Patterson
Donchenko won his fourth straight fight inside the Octagon after outclassing Punahele Soriano to win a unanimous decision, upping his overall win streak to eight in a row. As for his potential next foe, I like Patterson since he is also on a nice run inside the Octagon after racking up a 5-2 record. He is coming off a knockout win over Santiago Ponzinibbio, a nice bounce back win after falling shot to Michael Page.

Who He Should Face Next: Buckley vs. Malott winner?
Michael Page was not impressed with his own performance after defeating Nursulton Ruziboev via unanimous decision in what was the final fight of his current UFC contract. He promised to be better moving forward by getting back to what made him a household name, which is his flashy striking style. Should he re-up with the promotion, I would like to see him go back down to Welterweight and face off against someone like Buckley or Malott who are scheduled to throw down next month. Both men are aggressive, come forward fighters, which is exactly what Page needs to find his groove again.

Who He Should Face Next: Miles Johns
Keita showed out with an explosive win over Muhammad Naimov (see it again here), to improve his UFC record to 1-1, 17-2 overall as a pro. Keita has a long way to go before he starts getting the top dogs of the 145-pound weight class, so a showdown against Johns seems appropriate. Johns is coming off a big win over Gianni Vazquez last month, snapping his three-fight losing streak. It may not be the sexiest fight he can get at the moment, but it’s a stiff test against a grizzled vet to see exactly where he is in his young UFC career.
