Luca Toni had a wonderful career — including a stint with Bayern Munich where he scored 38 goals in 60 games — and has a deep appreciation for the game and its history.
After watching Harry Kane’s two-goal performance during a the team’s 4-1 win over Atalanta in the Champions League, Toni could not contain how he felt about the Englishman during an appearance on Prime Video Italy (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):
Luca Toni to Harry Kane on Italian TV after last night’s game: “I want to tell him that I’m in love with him as a footballer. Because he’s one of the few true number 9’s left in the world, among all these false nines floating around. And he’s the best striker in the world”
Kane: “I appreciate it. And coming from a top number 9 like you, it’s special words. Thank you.” @PrimeVideoIT
Can you blame, Toni? Surely, he has a lot of Bayern Munich and England fans joining him in showering praise on Kane.
