The Dallas Cowboys caught some people by surprise on Thursday night when they made a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. Sometimes division rivals can help each other, though.
After the Cowboys took Caleb Downs (which required a trade itself) they were clearly looking to move back from the 20th overall pick. Philadelphia was the proper taker and moved up from 23 to go get the wide receiver they wanted in Makai Lemon. Dallas took Malachi Lawrence, but they had two fourth-round picks from Philly that
were to be determined.
With the fourth round now in the rearview mirror we know full well who the Cowboys wound up with as a result.
To be clear the Eagles also received a 2027 7th in the deal, but obviously we won’t know the result of that until a year from now at the earliest.
Who do you think won the trade? That is always an interesting question to try and answer in situations like this, but give it your best shot.
