Thursday Bantering: Jays Notes

We have an early game today, 1:00 Eastern, which of course messes with my plans for the day, I don’t know about yours.

Anthony Santander played left for the Bisons yesterday, but didn’t have a ball come his way. He’s playing DH again today (I thought the plan was to have him play outfield again, but their lineup says DH). He’s going to be playing with the Bisons until the end of their season, which is Sunday. Then they have a decision to make. I feel bad for Loperfido, but I could be wrong.

Scherzer

starts Friday. It looks like Yesavage starts in a game against KC. I don’t know what plans for Bo means. But with him on the IL, they could talk to him about a free agent deal.

Yesterday’s umpire scorecard. Mike Estabrook was terrific—two misses, one right on the edge and low, one outside. If we got this every time, we wouldn’t be talking about robo-umps. Alejandro Kirk, great at framing, wasn’t able to steal a strike.
