Bayern Munich has brought in a few new names this summer but also seen its share of swings and misses — most notably over VfB Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade.
Now that the season is about to begin and the end of the summer transfer window draws nearer, does head coach Vincent Kompany have enough in his arsenal for the season?
“It’s probably one of the smallest squads I’ve ever played in,” striker Harry Kane commented in comments for Goal, as captured by @iMiaSanMia. “There’s still time until the transfer
window closes and decisions could be made by [executive board member for sport] Max Eberl, [sporting director] Christoph [Freund], and the coach.
“We have some young players who have done very well in preseason. We’re a bit thin, but that’s not in the players’ control.”
It certainly seems that the Bayern squad have taken notice of the depth situation around them. Can the Bavarians get in another reinforcement or two before the end of the window?
