With the Miami Hurricanes 2025 season just around the corner — the Canes face off against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Sunday night — it’s time to take a look at the outlook that others have for the Canes.
Our friends at FanDuel are among the most bullish on the Canes this season, with Miami having strong odds in multiple categories on the sportsbook. All lines referenced (and more) can be found by clicking this link
.Regular Season Win Total
On FanDuel, Miami’s over/under for 2025 is 9.5 wins,
with the under being the favorite at -154. This line has changed since it was debuted back in February, moving up a full game from the initial number of Over 8.5.
Even though the side of the line has flipped from previous, FanDuel’s number is indicating Miami going 9-3 (or worse) is the likely result from the season.
ACC Championship Game Winner
On FanDuel, Miami is the 2nd favorite to win the ACC Championship Game with +410 odds. Clemson is the favorite at +120, which lines up with their over/under number and line.
The next closest teams behind Miami are Louisville at +750 and SMU at +850. There is no other ACC team with odds until +1200 to win the ACC Championship Game.
At a minimum, this line points to the expectation that Miami plays in the ACC Championship Game in Charlotte on December 6th.
College Football Playoffs appearance
On FanDuel, the odds are a slight lean towards Miami NOT making the College Football Playoffs. It’s a binary proposition of course, with No being the favored option at -240, and Yes being the underdog line at +190.
For comparison, this line is the direct inverse of the odds presented to Georgia to make the CFP, with Yes being -240 and No being +190.
While the odds are flipped from what we would prefer, Miami is still among the teams with the best odds to make the CFP. But, as everyone has been saying, it’s incumbent upon Miami to go out and win games this season. That’s the path to the CFP, and hopefully the Canes are able to get there.
National Championship
Obviously, the steps of getting to the ACC Championship Game and College Football playoff need to happen first, I wanted to include this preseason number as well.
Miami is +4000 to win the National Championship, sharing the same odds with Ole Miss and Oklahoma. Somehow, Florida has BETTER ODDS to win the National Championship at +3500. Unfathomable! Gotta lower those odds ourselves by beating them at home in week 4.
Undefeated Regular Season
Miami has the 7th best odds for an undefeated regular season, sitting at +950 heading into the season. Teams with better odds are, in order: Georgia, Texas, Liberty, Oregon, Alabama, and Boise State. No other team beyond the ones I’ve listed has odds shorter than +1200 for an undefeated regular season.
Heisman Trophy Winner
The last item on the list is the biggest individual award in the world of College Football: The Heisman Trophy. Miami had a finalist last year, and if things hold true to form from the preseason odds, they very possibly could have one again this year.
Miami starting QB Carson Beck is +1800 to win the Heisman Trophy. Those odds are tied for 4th best with South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers, Penn State QB Drew Allar, and Alabama QB Ty Simpson.
For those wondering, the top of the Heisman odds are Texas QB Arch Manning (+700), Clemson QB Cade Klubnik (+900), LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier (+900), and Ohio State QR Jeremiah Smith (+1100).
So there you have it. A plethora of odds to consider for the 2025 season. For the full list and more, be sure to check out our friends at FanDuel here.
