Atop many Christmas lists in Mississippi is undoubtedly tickets to see Ole Miss and Tulane in the historic first round College Football Playoffs coming up on December 20.
Santa may need to grab the credit card this year as the secondary market is already ticking up considerably in the first 24 hours since the CFP bracket was announced. Ole Miss season ticket holders have a priority window open until Friday, Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. CT to confirm ticket requests, but tickets are listed on SeatGeek and StubHub
starting at $400 or more.
This is going to be a very hot ticket to get if you’re not already a season ticket holder. From my own experience, the request for CFP tickets was $250 per seat, which is about on par with an SEC game including the donation level per game.
The secondary market is going to only increase leading up to game time as the game was listed on Sunday morning with seats listed at $338 early on StubHub. There is some relative value on the market however with seats on the west side under second level cover at the 50-yard line are only $613 currently on SeatGeek. Hey, if its somehow raining or sleeting, those will be worth gold.
No matter if you get in the game or not there is going to be 200,000 people at least who will claim to have been there if the Rebels win to advance to the national quarterfinals.
Ole Miss and Tulane will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT on Dec. 20 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
